These pages consist of how critics and others view the short story. It contains the opinions of how censorship has to do with the story. Bogert shares that it was once taken out of the curriculum and how censorship should play a large role. Bogert is not the only person that critiques it. These pages are filled with opinions.

Symbolism plays a large role in the story and Nebeker makes that clear.

This source talks about how she is a writer and everything that she went through personally. It speaks of her short story “The Lottery,” and how I related to her life.
